PowerUp harvests over 70 pounds of produce for Valley Outreach

  On Monday, Sept. 8th, the PowerUp team spent the morning gardening at the RCS Giving Garden in Lake Elmo, Minn. The RCS Giving Garden is a full circle, teaching giving garden that allows the community the opportunity to help harvest and donate produce to the local  community food shelf. The giving garden has solar panels, a full irrigation system and compost.
During PowerUp’s time at the garden, the team was able to help harvest and donate over 70 pounds of eggplant, corn, zucchini and more to the local food shelf, Valley Outreach.
Since the RCS Giving Garden opened in 2009, more than 13,561.6 lbs have been donated.
