Community Breakfast turns spotlight on PowerUp

Community members are invited to the Lakeview Health Foundation’s 11th Annual Community Breakfast.
The Feb. 28 event is complimentary with catering provided by the Lake Elmo Inn. It’s a chance to learn more about the work of PowerUp, a community-wide initiative to make it easy and fun for kids and families to eat better and move more. In the Stillwater area, PowerUp’s work is funded by the Lakeview Health Foundation.
Dani Leonard, age 11, will deliver the breakfast’s keynote speech: Growing up with PowerUp.
Then, a panel of speakers including Sue Hedlund (chair of Lakeview Health Foundation Board), Brian Cress, MD, (pediatrician and PowerUp advisor) and Megan Lampwright (student at Stillwater Area High School), will talk about the progress PowerUp is making to fuel community momentum to create positive, healthy change where people live, learn, work and play.
