Do you have a great idea help people eat better and/or be more physically active in your school or community?


Join the Student Ambassador Program! The Student Ambassador Program is a chance to share your great idea to help make a positive difference in your community. 

Project Requirements:

   

 

  • Applicants must be in 7th-12th grade and live in or attend the following school districts: Amery, Hudson, Mahtomedi, New Richmond, Stillwater, Somerset and White Bear lake. Students from public, private, charter and home schools within these areas are eligible
  • Applicants may apply independently or be in a team of no more than 5 students
  • Applicants must have 1 adult supervisor. Adviser must be at least 21 years of age and available to offer guidance throughout the Ambassador project
  • ​Projects must promote of support at least one area of the PowerUp Countdown
  • Project ideas must be realistic and attainalbe within the timeline: Timeline TBD this Fall 2017
  • Project costs cannot exceed $500, unless other sources of funding are available*
  • Project examples could include: more access to physical activity during the school day, access to free/low cost ways to be physically active, more healthy options served at community events, cooking classes for kids
     
Applications aren't being accepted at this time. Look out for 2017 deadlines this Fall!

*Typical project cost support from PowerUp/BearPower are between $50-$200. A maximum of $500 will be considered for more robust projects on a case by case basis. Details on support for project supplies will be provided to selected project teams.
